Smite the dragon thinks he has it all: piles and piles of glittering golden treasure. But when a mischievous pink kitten named Smitten arrives one snowy night, he discovers a whole new type of treasure—friendship!

Smitten coaxes a grumpy Smite out of his deep dark cave into a wonderfully colorful valley. Together they enjoy fresh blue skies, sniffing flowers, and playing games.

But the change isn’t always easy for Smite, and now he has to decide which treasure is worth more to him—his cave full of gold or his precious new friend?

Alice Tait is a British illustrator and writer of children’s books. She was born in London and now lives in the beautiful and historic city of Bath, England.

From her garden studio she has illustrated for many famous clients across the globe, including Vogue, Bergdorf Goodman, and fellow 83 Press author, New York Times Bestseller, Jennifer L. Scott.

Alice lives with her artist husband, two small children, a wiener dog, and an aquarium full of tropical fish. Drawing is still her absolute most favorite thing to do, and you can see plenty more of her charming designs on Instagram, @alice_tait_illustrates
